I just finished this painting today. Spent three days on it and it’s my favorite one I’ve ever done.

i think this bad boy is done. i really really like this one. i cant believe it turned out so well. the guy is supposed to be me i guess. and the things on top are supposed to be wings. its strange how i never have confidence in what i’m doing and then it turns into something i really like and am proud of..

So this is a piece I did of Damu the Fudgemunk (Sideways, stupid thing wont let me put it right side up). A hip hop lover all my life, his music really excited me and inspired me, especially once I started making beats (he was basically the main reason I did). So I experimented with this and basically made the first at least partially abstract piece I ever had, and now this is the sort of thing I really love to do— figures with abstract backgrounds and stuff like that. I sent this to Damu’s manager JNOTA and he ended up using it for a 7” record of Damu’s. It was an amazing experience, so shout outs and thanks to JNOTA and Damu!!

This is a painting I did last year, the picture I worked from was taken in Sonora, CA where my granny lives. My little sister and I went for a hike on the railroad tracks and found this beautiful spot so i took a few pictures of her from my phone and decided to paint it some months later.

John Coltrane. The image is off the cover of my favorite album of his, Coltrane Jazz. especially “Ill Wait and Pray” ahh great stuff

this is a sketch of a still shot from “Do the Right Thing,” which is like the coolest movie if you haven’t seen it. I really loved these 3 black guys hanging out talking all day under their umbrella, and this shot was really striking with the red wall behind them so this is what i came up with from that.
